GALAB hosted the GewerbeKlima.VorOrt Roadshow

As a proud member of the Umweltpartnerschaft Hamburg, the Environmental Partnership of the City of Hamburg for the promotion of voluntary corporate environmental protection, we are always happy to support their activities. For this reason, we have made our property available for the GewerbeKlima.VorOrt roadshow on the 29th of July 2023.

Organised by Umweltpartnerschaft Hamburg, the City of Hamburg’s environmental partnership to promote voluntary environmental protection in business, this informative event is aimed at entrepreneurs to demonstrate them how they can enrich their business with sustainable projects. To this end, a wide range of people from different sectors were invited to our premises to talk to representatives of Umweltpartnerschaft Hamburg and learn more about the benefits of integrating environmental initiatives into businesses, such as green electricity procurement or energy-efficient temperature control technologies.

During a tour through the GALAB building, our Managing Director Dr Eckard Jantzen showed our guests how our high-tech tempreterure regulation system works, using our iconic ice storage system, which currently is the largest in the world. Dr Jantzen took the opportunity to inform our guests about our plans to further increase our sustainability through various projects, such as the addition of more solar panels to our company premises, which is currently delayed due to ongoing negotiations on zoning regulations. GALAB actively tries to navigate these regulations and works to find compromises to accommodate the installation of new solar panels, with talks currently being held with political representatives. This effort aligns with our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint while contributing to the broader goals of clean energy adoption within our community.

At the end of the event, our guests were delighted to have the opportunity to tour our premises and gain a deeper insight into the inner workings of the GALAB building. We were very honored to be able to host the GewerbeKlima.VorOrt roadshow.
