Sensory tests – not always a piece of cake
Sensory testing is defined as an analysis using human senses. Apart from chemical-physical tests, sensory tests are an important tool for quality assurance and quality control of foods and their packaging.
After moving the laboratory to Hamburg, we have created ideal conditions and plenty of space for our accredited sensory panel and its mannifold tests. At the new site, comprehensive requirements of DIN norms were realised on furnishing the new sensory laboratory and the test booths. Sensory testing of your samples is carried out under standardised conditions (such as light, temperature, humidity) and under exclusion of noise and odours.
To be able to make use of man as a measuring device, continuous training and standardised test conditions are indispensable. Over the last couple of years, we have trained a motivated corporate sensory panel. We still train our panel every month and check its performance to be able to warrant constant quality of our sensory analyses. Therefore, we are happy to offer you sensory testing for product development, for quality assurance or for purposes of market research.
